I Watched the Days Go By Today

I watched the days go by today,
Sitting on a bench in a park.
Not one, nor two, but six whole days,
The morning and noon, chased by night.

The nights were dark velvety blue,
surrounded by a silver orb.
The sun went round its golden line,
predestined path, twas like clockwork.

Eleven fifty three it was,
It stayed so until fifty four.
Then the days slowed and up got I,
And the hours went round no more.
